Queer Musicians Jam

Come and jam!

Bring your instruments and your creativity and let the sounds loose with other queer musicians.

Any and all queer & trans musicians are welcome from all skill levels!

Doors will be open at 3:30pm for you to come get set up and mingle with folks before the jamming starts.

Before the first jam, Annie Girresch put out the call to community. She is learning drums and is at an intermediate level and was looking for a safe space to practice playing with others. The first Jam was so well attended that we have teamed up with Doorstop Studio to host the April and June Jams to spread the love and community jamming spaces. Facilitators and hosts will rotate. Po will be orchestrating this jam in May.

If you don't want to play an instrument but wanna just hang and listen and vibe, you're welcome to join too!

Preceding this event is a DJ Workshop with DJ Whiz from 1-3pm. Directly following this event is the CONNECT Creative Open Mic, from 6-8pm. Come try on your new skills at the open mic!

This event is hosted at CONNECT Community Center for Wellbeing as a part of the Community Supported Wellbeing program. All donations will go to support keeping the lights on in the space and making wellness events and services accessible to marginalized folks.
