Politicized Somatics

We are always within dynamics of power whether we are at home, at work, in community or simply looking inside of ourselves. These classes will explore our feelings and sensations from an explicitly political perspective. We’ll investigate questions like: How do we relate to the power we hold in our bodies? What tends to happen to our power within systems of oppression?

We will both experience ourselves through somatic practices from the Strozzi / Radical Therapy / Skills for Change Lineage and discuss our experiences together. There’s no need to be familiar with somatics at all to benefit from these sessions. Everyone has sensations! And that’s all you need to bring. You will leave with deeper support and connection to how you are, how you tend to be, and how you WANT to be. Sessions are designed to be accessible to anyone.”
