CONNECT Creatives Open Mic

Creative work deserves to be shared and celebrated! Join us in this low-pressure, intimate gathering to share something on your heart in whatever medium speaks to you.

Come share spoken word, your most recent visual art, acoustic music, a slideshow about something you're interested in... whatever, and receive praise and encouragement for your work.

The theme for this season's open mic is "Opening Up."

In order for everyone to get an equal amount of time, plan on sharing for no more than 7 minutes. If the room is not full and we have more spaciousness, participants have the option to request feedback, which will be assessed at the start of each session.

This is a by-donation fundraising event for our Community Supported Wellbeing program which provides free and low-cost CONNECT services and classes to those with barriers to financial access.

No one turned away for lack of funds, but please let us know whether to expect you by booking at the rate that feels comfortable for you.

Although walk-in attendance is welcome, please register in advance so we know to expect you.

We will wrap up performances around 8pm and then allow for mingling and connection.

This event is preceded by the Queer Musicians Jam, which welcomes queer and trans musicians of all skills levels to jam before the open mic. Come and find your back up accompaniment for your performance! Starts at 4pm.
