Artists Way Collaboration Group

As a new generational wave begins, I’m grateful to host a supplemental group for artists, musicians, and those with artistic tendencies in the framework of The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. Artists for Joy is hosting a weekly virtual bookclub for the book by Cameron on Tuesday evenings; you can sign up for that free offering by visiting: https://artistsforjoy.org/theartistsway

This group will meet every other Sunday to share in their experience while venturing through the book. The intention is to hold space for each other, to share and provide an opportunity to collaborate, to create outside of a lonesome void. Whether you make visual or digital art, or music, or dance, come ready to discuss and collaborate with other creatives across multiple disciplines. Come ready to create so bring your art supplies or musical instruments or whatever artistic medium you choose.

I want to extend an enormous amount of gratitude to CONNECT Community Center for Wellbeing and Mighty Kind/Loyal Family for providing support for this venture by offering their space to use for this auxiliary group. We will be alternating meeting spaces so that this may reach as many different types of people as possible.

Whether you’re a musician, visual artist or other type of creative, no matter your background, you are welcome to attend. I wanted to create a space that’s accessible so the cost to attend is donation based with suggested donation being $5-10 for our supplemental collaboration group.

Saturday February 3rd at CONNECT Community Center for Wellbeing to start off the creative flow. Ecstatic Dance at 10am to help us to shake off inhibition and stagnation. The flow of creativity continues that day with Queer Musicians Jam 4pm and CONNECT Creatives Open Mic at 6pm
