Queer Song Circle
Sing together with other queer folks in a relaxed, non-judgmental circle. No experience needed.
Class Description
This is a fundraising event with no one turned away for lack of funds. See registration details below. Singing together releases stress from the body and mind and releases endorphins into the body. When our voices come together in unison and harmony, it can put us back in touch with beauty, joy, and delight. In this song circle, we will play with call-and-response style singing, with no sheet music, only our attunement to each other and the music. While this is a queer song circles, allies are welcome to join. This is a by-donation fundraising event that is free and open to all (use code SONG when booking). No one turned away for lack of funds, but please let us know whether to expect you by booking at the rate that feels comfortable for you. This event raises funds for our Community Supported Wellness program, which provides free and low-cost CONNECT memberships and services to those with barriers to financial access. Members can use a class credit as their donation! July 13th only: Special guest speaker Jess MacKimm, queer speech therapist, will speak on vocal warm up and care for all voices, including transitioning voices.
