About the event

As the 1st session of the Relational Wellbeing Series, we will locate ourselves in the conversation about relationships, understanding the systems that shape our relationships, the barriers we face in practicing healthy relationships, and our responsibility to make change.

Note: This session has been made HYBRID!

Join the CONNECT team and community psychologist and relational wellbeing coach, Liberty Gonzalez in exploring:

  • Current trends of social isolation and the impacts on community wellbeing
  • An overview of systems of power and oppression that shape what is possible in both kinship, political and professional healing/social support relationships
  • A conversation about what is concerning each of us in our own relational wellbeing journeys.

You will be invited, but are not required, to share about your personal experience, and there will be an opportunity to get to know others in the group so that we can build community within CONNECT.

Among the multiple intersecting crises we face as a species in these times, we are concerned with the decades long trends of declining social connection leading to what the Surgeon General is calling the Epidemic of Loneliness. This series is meant to bring community together in relationship and learn theoretical and practice ways to strengthen our social fabric.

Other sessions will include*:

*Dates and topics subject to change as we have a wealth of knowledge and conversation emerging in the community.
